New Years is not the only time when this Fit Mom makes resolutions! Every year after Halloween, candy is sworn off for a good two to three
months days and then I hear the Reeses Peanut Butter Cups and Peanut M&M’s calling my name. No matter how the candy got into your house, we are rounding up a few places that will gladly accept a sweet donation so that you can get it out!
Operation Gratitude sends thousands of care packages to our troops overseas and their families.
The Ronald McDonald House has been supporting children with cancer and their families for almost 40 years. After Halloween, some chapters will accept unopened candy that they will share with the families that they are helping. Call in advance to make sure.
Operation Shoebox was founded in 2003 in an effort to send support, snacks and personal care items to our troops deployed outside of the USA. Heat resistant candy is the best. Check out their website for where to send it.
Your local food shelter.
If getting all of the candy out of your house is not an option, separate the candy into little baggies and let your little one pick one baggie as a treat.
Hope you all had a safe Halloween.
