Good Morning FitMoms….have I got a present for you!! I know being the new year we are all trying to eat healthy. But, just because you are trying to drop a few, it does not mean you magically no longer want chocolate. I have the solution, you will love it (if you are a chocolate eater) your kids will love it, your spouse will love it, your doorman will love it, your mailman will love it…you get the point. Here is a recipe for Chocolate Mousse made with no cream!
In a million years you would never be able to guess the secret ingredient ….come close to the screen so I can whisper, avocados! I know, I know it sounds gross but trust and believe FitMoms, those people at the food network know what they are doing!! This dessert rocks! Even my brother who has loved chocolate mousse since he was 18 months old (no lie) will love it! I can not wait until he comes back to town so I can test it out on him! Until then, here is the recipe…if you try it out and love it as much as we do, please let us know.
Scoop out 4 ripe AVOCADOS and put them in a food processor. Then add 1/2 of a cup of melted BITTERSWEET CHOCOLATE and 1/2 of a cup of UNSWEETENED COCOA POWDER and one cup of AGAVE NECTAR, 1/3 of a cup of ALMOND MILK, one tablespoon of VANILLA EXTRACT and a pinch of SALT! That’s it kitty cats…all you have to do now is blend it until very smooth with no bumps, put it in ramekins and stick it in the fridge for a few hours> then yum yum yum! ENJOY xx
